Italian Meat Balls and Pasta

1 pound ground beef
1 package onion soup mix
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup red cooking wine
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces pasta, cooked and drained
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Combine ground beef, soup mix, egg and milk in large bowl. Blend well. Form into 24 small meat balls. Brown on all sides in cooking oil in large skillet. Pour off drippings.

Blend tomato sauce, wine, sugar, salt, chili powder and garlic powder. Pour over meat balls. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Serve over pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
