ISLAND TERIYAKI STEAK MARINADE

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tb extra virgin olive oil
1 t ground ginger
1/4 t cracked pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
1-1/2 lbs beefsteak (sirloin, london broil, strip, porterhouse)

In a shallow glass baking dish, combine all ingredients except the beefsteak. Add the beef, turning it until it is well coated with the marinade. Set aside to marinate overnight in the refrigerator or for 2 hours at room temperature. Broil or cook on grill to desired doneness.
